Privacy Notice 2018

Under the new GDPR coming into force at the end of May 2018, Photographics are required by law to document what personal information is kept for all our customers, whether they be a one off job or as regular customers.

At the time of booking any work with Photographics, Photographics will take your name, a contact telephone number, email address and also your address, and with your consent will keep them with our customer records.

These records are securely kept on our computer database on a password protected PC and in a locked metal filing cabinet kept at Photographics’s registered business address. This information is not used for any purpose other than contact for estimates, invoices and proofing.

Photographics is required to keep this information for legal and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 7 years from initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you are still a customer of Photographics. You do have the right to see any information we keep and you can request that any data be changed or securely destroyed. If however you do request that records be destroyed Photographics will again have to ask you for your details for our own insurance and legal information if we do future work for you.

Photographics will not use the information for anything other than to contact you regarding any existing work, proofing or to discuss any potential work with you.

Photographics may need to share your personal information with a third party if we need to order materials from a contractor to complete your project.

Photographics will not use your personal information for marketing purposes.

Any information given to Photographics via the message service on Photographics’s Facebook Page, Photographics is only accessible by Photographics staff. You may request that once Photographics have written your details on your record card that Photographics will delete any message which contains your personal information.

Any information you have given Photographics via text message to Photographics’s mobile phone is accessible only by Photographics, the phone is locked with a security code. You may request that these text messages are deleted once Photographics has written the information on your record card.
